Ferris Wheels And Wedding Receptions: So Happy Together

We see a lot of wedding photos over the course of a day. One trend that keeps popping up is having a ferris wheel and other carnival rides at your wedding. This brings up a few questions:

1. Where are people getting married that they have access to a field that can accommodate carnival rides?

2. Does it distract from dancing, and everything else going on, reception wise?

3. This totally solves the problem of what to do with kids at a wedding.

4. What on earth does a ferris wheel even cost to rent? Does it come to a cross-eyed carny to operate it? Do you have to tip them at the end of the night as well?

5. Will the smooching on top of the ferris wheel photo become as cliche as the backlit portrait of a wedding dress?

The devil is in the details, and the details of a wedding will drive you to drink. (Champagne, of course.) Veils, earrings, etc. need to be perfect, but what on earth are you going to do with all of them afterwards?

Accessories are one of our favorite things ever here at Wedding Nugget, but one item that has always confounded us are bridal clutches. Between walking down the aisle and being the center of attention, we're not sure when or how a bride is supposed to carry an evening bag. Perhaps it is more realistic to assume that these bags are meant for the Maid of Honor, who needs to carry everything for the bridal emergency kit.

Wedding Photos That Only Make Sense On Pinterest

Since we are wedding people, we spend a lot of time on Pinterest. In the process, we find things we're not sure we understand.

This photo, even as abstract fashion photography, makes no sense. The dress is gorgeous, as is the model, but who on earth sits on a mantel on their wedding day? Furthermore, in a room with no decor? We're not sure if this is creepy or genius.
